In 1988 Gold Coast Gymnastics Club was established. In 1992 the facility was extended to include retractable seating and the construction of training pits.
In 1994 the club became a satellite High Performance Centre developing and feeding gymnasts to the Queensland High Performance Centre and the Australian Institute of Sport.
In 1996 the club gained part-time use of the community hall attached to the rear of the gym and in 2000 took the hall on full time. From 2001 – 2004 the club expanded even further extending the foyer, the back hall, the ballet room and built the amenities block.
In 2009 the club established satellite venues to the North (Coomera) and to the South (Banora Point).
In 2016 following on from the successful growth of our original Coomera venue the club secured a new venue at the recently constructed Coomera Indoor Sports Centre allowing the number of classes made available to the local community to drastically increase.
Having grown steadily since its establishment Gold Coast Gymnastics Club is now one of the largest clubs in Australia with approximately 3000 gymnasts registered with Gymnastics Australia.
Future plans include further extension to our training area at the Miami venue and expansions to our services provided at both our venues.
