The Gold Coast Gymnastics Club 2023-2025 Strategic Plan
The Gold Coast Gymnastics Club 2023-2025 Strategic Plan has been in development for 9 months, and the GCGC Leadership Team have had the opportunity to review and provide inputs and feedback along the way.
The Board and I are incredibly excited to release it to you today. Please take the time to review the strategic plan as we are keen to field any questions or take on feedback that you may have. A strategic plan is essential for any sporting organisation as it outlines the goals, objectives, and actions that need to be taken to achieve success.
The Gold Coast Gymnastics Strategic Plan will:
· Set a clear direction for the organisation outlining the mission, vision, and values of GCGC.
· Assists in current and future resource allocation and investment for GCGC.
· Enhance the decision making at all levels including prioritising actions and initiatives for GCGC.
· Facilitate improved communication among stakeholders, including members, council, and other external stakeholders.
· Increase accountability through the establishment of performance indicators and KPIs to measure progress towards achieving the goals.
· Ensures the long-term sustainability of Gold Coast Gymnastics by outlining a vision for the future whilst building a strong organisational culture.
I’m equally excited to announce and emphasise the clubs’ mission, vision and values included within the Strategic Plan.
Gold Coast Gymnastics mission is to help every gymnast achieve their potential, from participation to performance.
Gold Coast Gymnastics vision is that we are Queensland’s leading performance gymnastics club, offering a full range of programs to the community. We have highly qualified coaches providing world-class coaching and guidance to our athletes. Our staff and volunteers are engaged and dedicated to the club and its members.
Gold Coast Gymnastics values are:
· Engagement and Teamwork – Our members and our staff are connected, and we work as one team.
· Enthusiasm and Support – Ours is a community of family and friends who have fun building fitness and competitiveness.
· Empathy and Respect – We genuinely care for one another, and we are seen as the leading provider of gymnastics in Queensland.
· Professionalism and Performance – We are proud of our quality programs, experiences, facilities, and equipment and how they support our members’ best performance.
There will be effective and decisive improvements made over the next 3 years to transform the club and achieve its goals. This strategic plan is crucial for Gold Coast Gymnastics as it provides a roadmap for success and excellence in every area of our operation, from gymnastics programs to management and member services.
Gold Coast Gymnastics has two immediate focus areas:
1. Recruiting a new Technical Director that will be accountable for all gymnastics programs across the club. This includes Recreation, WAG, MAG, and Tumbling – across both venues. We will commence advertising for this role from 12th June. This role will be introduced to
deliver on a number of the accountabilities and initiatives as outlined in the 2023-2025 Strategy. Some of which include:
· Provide Technical Leadership to all coaches and establish the gold standard for coaching by improving coaching development and pathways.
· Review coach accreditation processes and implement a mentoring program for new and current coaches.
· Provide technical support to all our gymnastics Program Managers and Coordinators for successful delivery of their programs.
· Oversee equipment management and compliance of all GCGC Venues
· Develop and drive future floor plans to improve efficiency with collaboration of all programs.
2. Miami facility improvements. We are currently obtaining quotes for a range of improvements at the Miami venue. We will provide you with updates of the improvement plans when they become available.
